Nick Abdicevic

Nick’s achievements in basketball are simply unparalleled. Throughout 20+ years of coaching in Australia (originally from Europe) Nick has played a major part in the pathways of many young basketballers going to the AIS, NBL, College, etc. Nick has been a full time basketball coach over such a long period of time and has such a great knowledge of the youth of today. He has worked at domestic, club, state and national levels and over that time has built a level of respect across the entire basketball fraternity for his knowledge and love for the game. He is especially known for his ability to develop and support talent.

• Melbourne Tigers Junior Boys Director of coaching 14 years
• 15 years of involvement with different BV and BA programs (including head coach of ITC, NITP, SDP, NPP programs)
• U17 Australian Satellite Coach – 3 years
• U17 Australian Assistant Coach – 1 year
• 4 times U18 Vic Metro Head Coach
• 1 time U16 Vic Metro Head Coach
• 2014 Basketball Victoria Coach of the Year
• BIG V Youth League Coach
• SEABL / NBL1 Head Coach
• Nick has won many titles with his teams such as national championships gold and silver medals, several youth league titles, many VJBL and national classic titles
• Over a long period of time Nick has built many relationships with overseas coaches that has assisted athletes in securing there next opportunity
